Dr. Craig Wade
Dr Craig Wade was born and raised in south Mississippi. He is the second of four sons of Jean and Richard Wade. Dr Wade received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from The University of Southern Mississippi. Although he is a physician now, he began his medical career as a registered nurse. While serving as a registered nurse he held various supervisory positions in intensive care and emergency department.
His desire to help his patients led him to further his education and fulfil his lifelong dream and calling of becoming a physician. He took his wife Ralna and three children to The Commonwealth of Dominica to live and study medicine at Ross University School of Medicine. Graduating with High Honors in 2011, Dr Wade moved into his Internal Medicine residency with Louisiana State University at Leonard J Chabert Medical Center. While living in Houma and completing his residency, the Wade family became rooted in the community and decided to make Houma their permanent residence. Dr Wade then joined the medical staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center in 2014. Upon establishing himself as a physician in Houma, he opened Preferred Health and Wellness in 2019. Dr Wade maintains his affiliation with Physicians Medical Center and Terrebonne Medical Center.
Dr Wade is certified in hyperbaric medicine, certified medical examiner for CDL/DOT exams, employee physicals, Botox treatments and dermal fillers. Dr Wade continually searches for new advanced and innovative therapies and treatments to help in the care of his patients.
